 Jeannette F. Szczypta 88, of Southampton died November 16, 2018 in Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She was born in Southampton October 30, 1930 the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Dolega) Szczypta. She attended Southampton Schools and graduated from Easthampton High School Class of 1948. She was employed by the former Lesnow Manufacturing Company in Easthampton for many years. She retired from the former Tube Products. Jeannette was a member of former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish where she worked on the parish picnics, member of the shut in club also a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, now a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church. She is survived by her sister Shirley Szczypta of Southampton, nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by five brothers Stanley, Walter, Edward, Henry, and Max, three sisters Nellie Golash, Stella Banas and Helen Szczypta.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be November 21st  at 11 am in Our Lady of the Valley Church, 33 Adams Street followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery all of Easthampton. Visiting hours will be Tuesday November 20th from 4 to 7pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton. In lieu of flowers gifts in Jeannette’s memory may be given to St. Stanislaus Kostka Scholarship Fund c/o Shirley Szczypta, Treasurer, 68 College Highway, Southampton, MA01073
