Walter (“Walt”) C. Bilski, of Easthampton, MA passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center on May 15, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born in Springfield MA, on Jan 13, 1948, the son of Chester and Margaret (Elisee) Bilski.
Walt attended public schools in Easthampton, MA graduating from Easthampton High School in 1967. He was employed by and retired from the Easthampton Housing Authority after 25 years.
Walt had a love of music, often playing records and strumming on his guitar to classics such as Buddy Holly, Elvis, Don McLean, and many others. One of his favorite places to hang out with family was in “the barn” at his brother Richard’s house. Walt enjoyed watching Boston sports and playing softball for Canal Lanes in his younger years.
He is survived by his sisters; Margaret Murphy and her husband John of Holyoke and Nancy Love of Owensboro KY, sister in-law Becky Bilski of Easthampton, and several nieces and nephews and their families. Walt will be missed deeply.
He was predeceased by his brother Richard Bilski in 2019.
There are no calling hours, and the family will hold a Private Service at a later date. Mitchell Funeral Home in Easthampton has been entrusted with Walt's arrangements.
