Timothy Robert Fondakowski
May 8, 1971 – May 1, 2025
Timothy R. Fondakowski, 53, of Westhampton, MA, left this world on May 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving father and sisters, following a courageous fourteen-year battle with brain cancer.
Throughout it all, Tim showed us what true courage looked like. For fourteen years, he walked a road that tested him time and again, meeting each challenge with bravery, determination, and a steady, positive spirit. He rarely spoke about what he was going through, choosing instead to focus on daily life and time with those he loved. Even in the hardest moments, he found reasons to smile and kept moving forward. His calm presence, quiet resilience, and deep inner strength were felt by everyone around him.
Born on May 8, 1971, Tim was a man of many talents, a skilled craftsman, and a devoted lover of nature.
After graduating from Hampshire Regional High School in 1990, Tim put himself through electrical school, earning both his Journeyman and Master Electrician’s licenses. He went on to own and operate Timothy’s Electric, as well as his bee removal business, Buzy Buzzy Beez.
Beyond his professions, Tim found joy in creative hobbies. He was a gifted carpenter and woodcarver with a natural talent for drawing—creating pieces that reflected both precision and passion. His endless curiosity led him to teach himself taxidermy and auto mechanics, and he also enjoyed playing the guitar.
Tim built his home in the town where he was raised, a place he had always felt deeply connected to. It reflected his craftsmanship, determination, and strong connection to the outdoors. There, Tim found peace in tending his orchard, caring for his honey bees, and enjoying the serenity of the woods. His home became his sanctuary, where he spent time with his dog, Scout, and his cat, Kitty—always cherishing the memory of his hunting dog, Reese.
An exceptional hunter and fisherman, Tim found deep solace in the great outdoors, embracing both its beauty and its challenges. At sixteen, he made his first successful hunt, bringing home a six-point buck—a moment that sparked a lifelong passion and marked the beginning of his journey as a devoted outdoorsman. For Tim, time in the woods was never just a hobby; it was a way of life. Though he valued solitude, Tim also enjoyed hunting with his father and close friends—whether in the familiar woods near home or on memorable trips to New York.
He deeply cherished the bonds he shared with his family—especially the time spent with his father searching for deer antler sheds, exploring antique shops, and attending classic car shows. He carried that same spirit of connection into his relationship with his sisters—taking them on long country rides, showing them the beauty of nature through his eyes, and bringing them to the places he loved most. Along the way, he loved to share childhood memories and stories of the friendships that touched his life.
Tim was a man of strong values, balanced by a playful, carefree spirit. Beneath it all was a deeply loyal and loving heart, grounded in his faith in God. He showed his care not only by helping others but also in thoughtful, creative ways—often surprising those closest to him with keepsakes he carved by hand or crafted from deer antlers. He never waited for a special occasion; he gave simply because he cared. On birthdays and other meaningful days, he often included a hand-drawn illustration in his cards—a detail that spoke louder than words. Every gesture carried his personal touch—a reflection of his deep thoughtfulness.
He is survived by his loving family: his father, Robert Fondakowski; sisters, Brenda Fondakowski and Lisa DeCosmo; brother-in-law, Darren DeCosmo; nieces, Kaylie and Brittany DeCosmo; aunt, Dolores Cooley; his lifelong friends, Tom Jenkins and Paul Worsnop; and other close friends who held a meaningful place in Tim’s life.
Though his time was far too short, Tim’s legacy of courage, kindness, and love for life will live on in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Loved beyond words. Missed beyond measure. Tim’s light will never fade. ~~~~*
