Stefania Kosior Obituary
Stefania Kosior, 91, of Easthampton passed away Tuesday January 9, 2018 at Care One Northampton. She was born in Poland December 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph and Wiktoria Matuszko Lecko. She married the late Karol Kosior in Poland in 1948 and came to this country in 1960 making their home in Easthampton. She retired as a seamstress from former Lesnow Mfg. of Easthampton. Stefania was a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and now a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish ,and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one sister Mary Bak, three brothers Michael, Walter and Stefan Lecko.
Stefania is survived by three children: Winslow Kosior and wife Laurie, of Wilton, CT., Donna Huckaby and husband William of Ashland, and Z. Joseph Kosior of Easthampton; one brother Leon Lecko and wife Julia of Easthampton, six grandchildren: Katie and Christopher, Lean and Ciara, and Lauren and Adrienne, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday January 13th at 11.30 am in Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton; burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 10 am until the time of the service.
