Ronald F Bednarz of Easthampton passed away on Dec 20th, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born in Holyoke, he was the son of the late Fred and Anna (Kozakiewicz) Bednarz. Ronnie was a graduate of Holyoke Trade High School class of 1961. After graduating, Ronnie worked for many years as a master electrician. He met his wife Louise, of 51 years, while working at Holyoke Hospital. After being married in October of 1968, Ronnie and Louise built their house and started their family in Easthampton where they were also communicants of the former Sacred Heart Church and current Our Lady of the Valley Parrish.
Ronnie could be described as hard working, determined and was known to speak his mind. Ronnie was the Wire Inspector for the City of Easthampton Electrical Department for many years and a longtime board member of the Friends of the Emily Williston Library. He also was very active in the church, early on serving during masses as needed and later on was involved in committees for the running of the annual parish picnic. In his later years, he was active in the Knights of Columbus that took part in church activities.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Gary, of Easthampton and Christine, of Springfield. He also leaves behind his sister, Susan Emmett of Easthampton, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre deceased by his loving wife Louise.
The public is invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be held at 11am on Friday December 29,2023 at Our Lady of the Valley Church, 33 Adams St., Easthampton, MA, followed by burial at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
