Robert Madison Allen Jr.
Robert “Bobby” Allen, of Fort Worth, Texas and formerly of Southampton, Massachusetts, born 05/26/60 in Northampton, Mass. to Robert Allen Sr. and Ann Bristol, and a graduate of Hampshire Regional High School, class of 1978, passed away suddenly on March 12th.
Bobby was a decorated twenty-one year veteran of the United States Marine Corps., including numerous medals and citations, retiring as a Gunnery Sargeant. Bobby also received a Bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration. Bobby was an avid gun collector, loved watching sports, especially his New England teams and enjoyed his first Red Sox game at Fenway Park two years ago with his sister, Donna Walbridge (whom he affectionately referred to as “nerd”) and brother-in-law, Steve. Along with sports, Bobby loved motorcycling, cycling, gardening, fishing, baking and cooking, especially his epic barbeques, always over charcoal.
Family was everything to Bobby and he was loyal to the core. Along with his adoring sister, Donna, and brother-in-law, Steve, Bobby leaves his two amazing daughters, Ambrea Allen from Colorado and Alyssa Summers, her husband, Oliver, and their three children, Mallory, Oliver, and Bennett from Houston, Texas, his former spouse and dear friend, Denise Allen as well as his mom, Ann Bristol, his close friend and fellow marine, Joseph Bostic and his wife, Peg, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Bobby was pre-deceased by his father, Robert Sr. and his sister, Ann.
A private memorial service will be held at Mitchells Funeral Home for family and close friends along with a military burial service at the family’s convenience. Bobby will be laid to rest in Southampton Center Cemetery.
