Richard E. Krzanowski, 85, formerly of Southampton, passed away on April 29, 2025.
He was born in Easthampton, a son of the late Edward and Zinnia Krzanowski. He attended the Sacred Heart School in Easthampton and graduated from Easthampton High School.
He was a Coast Guard veteran.
He graduated from Westfield State College with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education in 1968. He continued graduate study and was conferred the degree of Master of Education in 1971. He went on to post-graduate study at American International College.
He began his career in the Eastampton School Department as a sixth-grade teacher at the Maple School and served as assistant principal of White Brook Middle School and Park School principal before becoming the Administrator of Special Education. He completed his career as an administrator at Brightside for Families and Children in West Springfield.
He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Our Lady of the Valley Parish. He was predeceased by his wife Elaine (Bashista) in 2006. He leaves two sons, Richard A. Krzanowski and his wife Lucy, both of Haydenville, and Jason A. Krzanowski of East Greenbush New York, dear friend Jane Belanger of Southampton, sister Virginia Raymond of Easthampton, brother Edward and his wife Francine of Southampton, and several nieces and nephews.
