Born on February 24, 1944, in Biloxi Mississippi. He was the son of the late Ernest and Ceceli (Jasinski) Blais. He served in the Army 1967-1969. He was employed by Berkshire Wire and worked for them for 50 years. Richard was a communicant of Our Lady of the Hills Parish. He leaves his wife of 58 years, Edna (Gauger) and his son Brian wife Lynn, his daughter Krista and husband Sean, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his brother Robert.
Calling hours will be Tuesday Jan 6, 2026, at the Mitchell Funeral Home from 11:00am to 12:30pm followed by a Graveside Service with Military Honors at 1:00pm in Brookside Cemetery in Easthampton.
Memorial contribution in Richard's name may be made to St Judes Hospital for Children or the MSPCA
