Matthew “Matt” Bean of Southampton passed away on July 6, 2023.
A man of expansive interests, his accomplishments included being a skilled guitarist, head football coach, practicing karate, and enjoying history. More than anything, he was a devoted husband and loving father, making sure that his family always knew how much he loves them and how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. His quick wit was unmatched and his laugh carried his family through any time. He loved swimming in the pool with his granddaughters (two of whom carry on his crystal blue eyes) and sharing vacations with his family. Altruistic, compassionate, hard-working, and accepting, he influenced those around him and the community for good.
Matt was born on August 8, 1960 in Springfield, MA the son of Robert (deceased) and Ann (Dubuque) Bean; brother of Daniel Bean and Catherine Bean Street (deceased).
Matt is survived by his wife Deborah “Debby” Bean; his daughter Jessica Bean Jaworski and her husband, Arek; his son Kyle Bean and his wife, Corrine; his son Jared Bean and his wife, Kayla; and his three granddaughters, Adelaide, Elliana, and Vera.
