Mary S. (Murphy) Baceski

Mary S. Baceski (Murphy), age 87, passed away at Regal Care Holyoke on February 12th,

2026 after a long illness. She was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on July 23rd, 1938. She

was the daughter of Robert J. Murphy and Stella (Miske) Murphy of Northampton.

Mary graduated from Northampton High School. She worked as a secretary for Cooley

Dickinson Hospital for 40 years.

Mary loved spending time with her family, her friends, and her beloved dog, Rusty. She

enjoyed crocheting, reading, and sewing.

Besides her mother and father she was predeceased by her husband Stanley C. Baceski

Jr. and her sisters, Stella Lansing of Palmer and Julia Warawka of Florence.

She is survived by her children, David of Belchertown, Karen (Kostek) of Southampton, and

John of Texas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patrica LaPlante of Easthampton, 6

grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a service at Mitchell’s Funeral Home in Easthampton on Sunday

February 22, 2026 from 3-5 pm. In lieu of flowers any donations can be made to Dakin
