Mary (Monaghan.) McKenna

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Mary (aka Sisty).  Mary was born in Holyoke in 1935 to Henry and Mary (Barrett) Monaghan.  She graduated in 1953 from Sacred Heart High School.  She also worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph Co., now known as Verizon.  She retired in 1991 after 37 years of service.  She married Robert McKenna in 1955, who predeceased her in April 2024 after 68 happy years.  She was also predeceased by her daughters Katherine and Mary-Beth.  Mary leaves a son Kevin and his partner Ron, a daughter Sheila and her husband Chris and their children Jonah and McKenzie.  She also leaves a Granddaughter Shannon and her husband Lui, along with their two children McKenna and Benny.  Her grandchildren were the loves of her life.

Services will be private.
