Marcia (Brown) Williams, 90, of Southampton passed away in Holyoke on August 28. Born in Henniker NH on Feb. 7, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Rowena (Yeaton) Brown. She Married Thomas F. Williams in 1953 and they made their home in Southampton since 1970.
Marcia had many hobbies over the years including knitting, crocheting and bird watching. She loved spending time with her grand-children. She loved people visiting and entertaining around the pool in her younger years. She loved to travel to see old childhood friends that she had kept in close contact over the years. Most importantly, she loved telling stories of her and her family’s life.
Marcia is survived by, three sons, Thomas M. Williams of Maine, David C. Williams and partner Dian Sturges, and John A. Williams and partner Cheryl Stone all of MA, two daughters Mary L. Varady and partner David LaValley, and Terri Williams all of MA. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Marcia was predeceased by both her husband Thomas F. Williams, who passed in 2007 and her son Steven Williams, who passed in 2010.
A Graveside Funeral service will be on Saturday, Sept. 10th at 11a.m. in the Center Cemetery Southampton. Flowers can be sent to Mitchell Funeral Home at 15 Park Street, Easthampton, MA 01027 or in Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marcia’s memory to The Massachusetts Audubon Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after the services at Pulaski Club, 79 Maple Street, Easthampton.
