Lydia (Zych) Ciak

Lydia (Zych) Ciak 0f Easthampton, age 91, passed away in Holyoke Medical Center on Dec 27, 2024.  She was born in Chicopee, MA, on December 5. 1933, the daughter of Ludwik Zych and Nellie (Szlachetka) Zych Blecharzyck.

Lydia grew up in Granby and South Hadley, MA. Lydia attended public schools in South Hadley, MA. She graduated from South Hadley High School.  She met and married Walter Ciak in Holyoke, MA and they made their home in Easthampton.

Lydia loved gardening and was proud of her personal garden and especially fond of fragrant roses. She had an unlimited amount of love, patience and empathy for all animals, believing they could do no wrong and any actions they took were innocent in nature. She was generous beyond measure, always considering others before herself. She had a  wonderful sense of humor that will be missed.

She is survived by her children: Jayne (Edwin) Warkulewicz,  Donna Ciak and Kimberly Ciak of Easthampton, MA,   Linda Davis of Southampton, MA, Thomas (Rithy Lon) Ciak of Silver Spring, MD and her grandson Michael (Shelley Worden) Davis of Westfield, MA and her great-grandson Brett Davis of Westfield, MA.

She was predeceased by her husband Walter Ciak and sister Florence Corley of Chicopee, MA.

The family will hold a Private graveside service in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley.
