Lucy Dlugozima, 91, of Suffield, CT., formerly of Easthampton, MA., passed away on January 13, 2015 in the Suffield House. She was born in Poland July 27, 1923 the daughter of Thomas and Zophie (Zielinski) Rylo. She attended schools in Poland.
Lucy lived on a farm in Poland and during WW11, she later was placed by Germans to different farms in Germany as a laborer from 1940 to 1945. When the war was over she left for France and was employed by the Americans. In France she met Army T. SGT. Chester Dlugozima. They were married there and she came to United States with her husband in 1946.

Lucy was a longtime member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, and later of the Our Lady of the Valley Parish and a member of Holy Rosary Sodality.
She was employed by the former Lesnow Mfg. of Easthampton for many years. She was known for her cooking skills and did catering to private gatherings, a fantastic seamstress, it was nothing Lucy could not do, but most of all she was a good person, a good mother , grandmother and great grandmother.
Lucy is survived by one daughter Patricia Santy and husband Frank of Suffield, CT., two Grandchildren Robert Santy and his wife Lauri and Pamela Santy and three Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew and David.
The funeral will be Saturday January 17, at 10 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley Church ,followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery both of Easthampton.
There will be no calling hours at Mitchell Funeral Home.
