Larry J. Houle passed away on April 12, 2026. Larry was an outdoorsman at heart and found his greatest joy in nature. He loved camping, hunting, and fishing, and embraced the freedom of the open road through motorcycling in warmer months and snowmobiling when winter arrived.
Larry also cherished time spent with family and friends, especially while playing pool, poker, and cribbage. Known for his generosity and willingness to help others, Larry was always there when someone needed a hand. His kindness, loyalty, and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his sons, Joe Houle, and Joe’s wife, Monica Houle, Jason Houle, and a daughter Kelly Mahaffey; grandchildren Kirsten Gillespie, Brandon Houle, and Dayna Rivera, Damien Tyburski; great-grandchildren Ethan and Rylee Gillespie; his brother, Gary Houle Sr.; and his nephew, Gary Houle Jr.
Larry will be reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Cheryl; his parents, Don and Rose Houle; and his siblings, Don and Sandy. Larry’s memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons passed down, and the love he gave so freely.
A private graveside service will be held. Any flowers in memory of Larry may be sent to Mitchell’s Funeral Home, Easthampton, Massachusetts.
