Kathleen "Kathy" (Pranes) Mitchell

Kathleen A. Mitchell, age 63, passed away at home on the farm, on Jan 30, 2025.  She was born in Nashua NH, on May 22, 1961, the daughter of James and Juanita (Nartoff) Pranes.

Kathy’s life was her work, Kathy worked for Atty Edward O’Brien and then became Chief of Staff for State Rep Nancy Flavin. Later Kathy became the Judicial Assistant in the Belchertown Court House and the Northampton Court House.

Kathy’s other life consisted of sewing and of course “cooking”.   She loved spending time at Hampton Beach and taking care of the “Farm House” and all the visitors, both Human and animal

She is survived by her husband Morgan, a son Joshua and his wife Meghann, a daughter Taylor and a daughter Lochlyn two grandchildren Zoe and Jackson.  She is also survived by two brothers Leo and Robert, her sisters Cheryl and Donna.  She was predeceased by her sister Patricia.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life (a Kathy Party) on Saturday Feb 15 at the Summitt View in Holyoke from noon to 3pm.
