Kathleen Nancy Forster passed peacefully after a long illness on November 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
“Kathy” was born on May 7, 1959 in Greenfield, MA. and grew up in Southampton, MA. She graduated from Hampshire Regional High School in Westhampton and attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Kathy was also an active member during her high school years at the First Congregational Church, UCC in Southampton.
Most recently, Kathy was employed at Greenfield Community College where she earned her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and became certified in Human Resources.
She will be remembered for her exceptional knitting talent, for her sense of humor, love of cats and perseverance through multiple health issues.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Dorothy Forster of Southampton, her “Deputy Dad”, Charlie Fisher, her brother John and wife Cathy of Suffield, CT, brother Jim and wife, Nancy of Haydenville, MA, sister Karen and husband Michael Mathers of Leverett, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank those at Linda Manor and at Cooley Dickinson Hospital who lovingly and capably cared for Kathy.
A private Memorial Service for family will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Easthampton, MA at a later date.
