Karen J. (McGrath) Jacques of Northampton passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022, at Cooley Dickenson hospital.
She is survived by her son Curtis Jacques, brother Stephen and his wife Marilyn McGrath, two nieces and two nephews. Karen was born on June 26, 1953, in Niskayuna, New York the daughter of Thomas and Jeanne McGrath. She attended schools in Northampton and graduated from Northampton High and Westfield State College. Karen worked as a teacher throughout the Northeast.
She enjoyed playing the flute and guitar, loved classical music, flowers, crafts and shopping. Pink was her favorite color. Her friends shared many wonderful thoughts about Karen's life. She touched so many people, respected and liked by everyone. Karen was happiest when helping others. She had intuitive ability to know just how to engage, enthuse and teach others, was very kind and generous with a big heart and smile. She will be missed greatly by all.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
