Florence - Judith Baxa, 81, of Florence, passed away Friday, December 3rd, 2021, at home, peacefully with her family by her side.
Judith was born January 28, 1940, in Northampton, MA to the late Angelo Palmisano and Josephine (Matrishon) Palmisano.
During her retirement, Judith loved to read but her most cherished time was that spent with her granddaughter Brittany running errands together, walks on the bike path, and eating at local restaurants. She looked forward to daily talks over coffee with her family.
She is survived by her son Brian and his wife Karen of Florence, MA and her daughter Kimberly Baxa and her companion Corey Magdalensky of Tallahassee, Florida. Granddaughter Brittany Baxa of Florence, MA who was her world and there for her every day. She is also survived by granddaughter Rebekah Jauhola-Straight of New Hampshire.
Besides her parents and brother Angelo, Judith was predeceased by husband Russell Baxa of 49 years.
Calling hours are Monday, December 13th from 4pm-6pm at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton. Burial will be private at the family’s request.
