John L Hobart, III

4/26/1984 – 8/22/2019

We have lost another beautiful soul to the disease of addiction. John our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend who was and is loved by so many.  John's fight was long and challenging and he did his very best.
 

John graduated from Lincoln Technical School in Connecticut and was a skilled welder.  John was a talented self-taught craftsman who from a young age was creating works of art with stone, wood and metal. He had a love for music and as left-handed man taught himself how to play guitar with his right hand, he wrote his own songs and sang songs he loved with passion and depth.

He leaves behind his daughter Kaela who he loved with all his Heart. In addition to Kaela he is survived by his mother Coralee Chase, his father John L. Hobart Jr., his sisters Julia & Amanda Hobart, his nephew Trenton, his step-father Paul Dutil, his step-sister Nicole Dutil and so many others who loved him and had the honor of knowing this precious man. In the words of Johnny, “his People”.

John's spirit left us suddenly and we are saddened and in shock by this tragedy. Our family and friends had so much hope for the new life he was creating for himself and the people closest to him, he was using his gifts to make his world beautiful again.  He was dreaming of big things and that makes this even more surreal.  

“His People (YOU)” will be celebrating his life on Friday, August 30^th from 4-7pm at Genesis Spiritual Life Center, 53 Mill St, Westfield, MA.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the John L. Hobart III Memorial Go Fund Me fundraiser or we encourage you to donate to a recovery program or center of your choice.

We know this disease does not discriminate and touches many of our lives now more than ever.
