Jean Law Obituary

       

                Jean Mary Loescher Law, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 28th, 2021, at her family home in Southampton, Ma.

                Jean was born on April 20th, 1942, in Northampton, Massachusetts and resided in Holyoke where she was raised by her parents Fred and Mary (May) McLusky Loescher. She graduated from Holyoke High school in 1960 and then attended New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1963. shortly after, she started her career at Holyoke Hospital where she spent 23 1/2 years working as an RN in the OR/Recovery room and a total of 43 1/2 years in the field. Jean and her husband David, the love of her life, raised three wonderful boys together: Duane (Tonia), Kurt (Joyce), and Aaron (Stacey). She is survived by her husband, three sons and spouses, ten grandchildren Destini, Forrest, Hunter, Brooks, Samantha, Colby and Parker Law, Chad and Josh Atchinson, Brianna Risper, great granddaughter Willow Mae Law, her Godchild Elizabeth Buratto and former daughter-in-law Jennifer Law.                           

                In addition to spending time with family and friends, Jean enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing which she learned from her mother. She was a den mother for her boys' cub scout pack 21 in Southampton for many years and her home was always open and welcoming to her boys' friends. Jean was always fond of her pets; dogs, cats, and Mary Jane the horse who she enjoyed riding. She will be sorely missed by many.

                 Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life gathering on Wednesday November 3rd anytime from 4-6pm at the Mitchell funeral Home located at 15 Park St Easthampton, MA. and service on Thursday November 4th at 10am at Mountain View Baptist Church located at 310 Apremont Hwy, Holyoke, MA. Following the service Jean will be buried at Forestdale Cemetery with a reception to follow back at Mountain View Baptist Church...all are welcome. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mountain View Baptist Church.
