Jean Bardin

Jean A. Bardin(Trossbach) passed away in Westfield, MA on January 7, 2026. She was born in Albany, NY on November 20, 1939. She was the daughter of Joseph Trossbach and Margaret Trossbach(Baumes). Jean was raised in East Schodack, NY and graduated from Columbia High School in 1957. She moved to Menands, NY in 1974 and lived there until 2019. Her final years were spent at Armbrook Village in Westfield, MA.

Jean worked for AT&T for decades as an administrative professional. She took early retirement following the demise of the Bell System and then worked for the NYS Health Dept. for 10 years.

Jean had very much looked forward to the day she could stop working, and decided to retire at age 62. She was an active member of the Menands Senior Club and enjoyed taking group trips with them. Jean was also an avid reader and could happily escape into a book.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, brother Robert Trossbach and sister Frances MacCabe.

She is survived by her daughter Jean Marie Bardin, son William Bardin, daughter-in-law Hui and grandson Marcus. She is also survived by her brother J. Thomas Trossbach and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Jean’s request there will be no services. Donations in Jean’s memory can be made to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
