Janice (Lyman) Clark, age 79, passed away peacefully at Cooley Dickinson Hospital with her family t her side on February 25, 2025. She was born in Northampton, MA, on May 31, 1945, the daughter of Leroy and Bertha (Rego) Lyman.
Janice attended public schools in Northampton and graduated from Northampton High School in 1963. She met and married Stuart Clark, and together they made their home in Southampton since 1964.
Janice was employed for many years by Northampton National Bank as a teller and later as a bookkeeper at Westfield State University until her retirement.
Janice and her pet chihuahua, Little Bit, were inseparable, making friends wherever they went. Janice cherished spending time with family and friends and enjoyed horseback riding and snowmobiling earlier in her life.
She is survived by her son, Stuart Clark, and his wife, Venessa, of Southampton, and Jeremy Clark of Easthampton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cassidy, Grayson, and Bailey Clark; her sister, Shirley Raymond of Westhampton; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was a devoted mother. As her sons grew up, she never missed a baseball game or school activity.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stuart Clark, in 2009, as well as her sister, Joan Poudrier, in 2013.
The family will hold a private burial ceremony in the spring to honor and celebrate her life.
