Irene N. Dale

Irene N. Dale, 70, of Southampton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024 at Holyoke Medical Center with her loving husband at her side.

She was born on Nov 13. 1953, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Joseph Hajdan and Maria Tkaczenko. Irene was raised in Holyoke and attended local schools. She worked for many companies & businesses over her career, including Digital Equipment Corporation, where she met her husband. Her last employer was Armbrook Village, where Irene loved working with the residents. She officially retired 2018.

Irene’s love of animals led her to her passion for raising, training and showing horses, especially American Quarter horses. She was actively involved in many horse associations throughout New England & New York, as well associations on the national level.

Irene loved music from the 50’s & 60’s (rock & roll; country & western). TV shows & movies from the same era were also a favorite.

Irene is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Dale, a niece Meredith (Tkaczenko) Hurley and nephew “Ziggy” Tkaczenko.

She was predeceased by her mother Maria Tkaczenko, her father Joseph Hajdan, and her brother Zygmunt “Mike” Tkaczenko.
