HENRY (HANK) T. LUKOWSKI, JR., 78, of Easthampton passed away on November 10, 2023 at Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in Northampton, Massachusetts on April 16, 1945 to Henry T. and Charlotte (Kutt) Lukowski Sr.

Hank was raised in Easthampton, attended Sacred Heart School, and graduated from Padua Preparatory School in Watkins Glen, NY. He also attended Northampton Commercial College. Hank entered the US Marine Corps in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1972. He served one year in Vietnam. He was employed at the VA Hospital in Leeds and then continued his military career with the Air National Guard at Barnes Air National Guard Base, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2002.

Hank’s love of animals shown through his 20 years of volunteering for Greyhound Options. He placed many, many of these beautiful, regal animals into loving homes, and adopted three: Tiger, Moose and Wolf. Hank was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed watching horseracing.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary (Powers) Lukowski, his son Tim and girlfriend Julie Dion, and his daughter Sarah and her husband Wesley Chitwood. He is also survived by his sister Camille and her husband Steven Lytwyn, nephews Jason Couture (Kathy), Joseph (Amy) and Joshua Lukowski, nieces Kellie Baumann, Kristen Shambo (Steve), Lori LeVasseur (Pete), Katie Marcinowski (Matt), and seven great nieces and nephews. He also leaves his grand dogs Maggie and Tank and grand cat Stanley. Predeceasing Hank were his parents and his brother Michael.

Calling hours at MITCHELL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Park Street, Easthampton will be on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 4-7 PM with an in-house prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Hank’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 3 PM at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
