Frederick N. Glaskowsky, 93, of Easthampton died Monday January 26, in the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home. He was born in Springfield January 27, 1921 the son of Nicholas and Marion (Cook) Glaskowsky. He attended Springfield Schools. Frederick was an WW11 Army Veteran serving for four years with the 91st Signal Operations Battalion and was discharge in 1946. He received Asiatic Pacific Theatre Campaign Ribbon, American Theatre Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. He was employed as security Guard with Burns Security at Kollmorgan in Northampton. Frederick together with his parents were very active in antiques and were familiar faces at auctions. They had a antique shop The Glaskowsky and Co. on Main Street, Easthampton for many years.
Frederick is survived by one brother Nicholas and one sister Tanya and a close friend and care giver Allan Devine, Jr.
Graveside services will be in the Spring in Meeting Hill Cemetery, West Springfield. There are no calling hours at the Mitchell Funeral Home of Easthampton
