Dylan Christian (Swearingen) Sweet (40) passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on July 1, 2021. Dylan was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on October 23, 1980, to Mary A. (Swearingen-Sweet) Birdsall and Michael P. Sweet Sr. Dylan grew up in Huntington, Massachusetts, and attended Gateway Regional Schools. Dylan was a creative and talented songwriter and performer from an early age and continued to craft his passion throughout his adulthood. Dylan lived a life of radical acceptance and courageous love that impacted so many he would meet. Dylan's smile was contagious, and he had a way of connecting with people from all walks of life with no distinction. But, like many of us, Dylan had his ghosts and shadows that haunted him. Addiction is a lived reality for many in this life. Yet, even in his struggle, Dylan was able to help and impute life to countless individuals in meaningful ways. Dylan loved well and he will be missed by many.
Survived by Dylan is his: daughter, Makayla Pappas, of Blandford, Massachusetts, his mother, Mary Birdsall of Chester Ma, his father, Michael P. Sweet Sr of Balsam Grove, North Carolina, his stepfather Brian Birdsall of Chester Ma, brother Michael Sweet of West Springfield Ma, his sister Maggie May Polite of Palatka, Florida and a plethora of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Their will be a memorial service celebrating Dylan's life on
