Donald A. Brodeur Sr. died Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Holyoke in 1948, he graduated from Chicopee High in 1967. The following September he enlisted into the Coast Guard where he served the next four years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and all-around outdoorsman. He loved camping with his family and many friends at West River Camperama in Townshend, VT. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Madeline Mary Brodeur in 2005. He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Cozette (Cote), his sister Gale Limberg and her husband Carl of Kentucky, his sister Sylvia Menard and her husband Alan of Chicopee and his brother Norman Brodeur and his wife Faye of Missouri. He also leaves behind his sons, Donald Brodeur Jr., his wife Kristin of Easthampton and their boys, Sam and Cam as well as Jon Brodeur, his wife Heather of Southampton and their children, Noah, Hope E and Sawyer He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be at Mitchell’s Funeral Home, 15 Park Street in Easthampton on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4-7 PM. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome’s Chapel, 169 Hampden St. in Holyoke. Burial will be private at the Agawam Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors.
