Dianne (Yuscavage) Brakey

Dianne M (Yuscavage) Brakey passed away on January 27, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on September 23, 1961 in Hampton VA, the daughter of John M. Yuscavage and Shirley M Lisman. 

Dianne grew up in Northampton MA and graduated from Northampton High school in 1981.  After High School she worked as an electrician’s apprentice.  She then attended W.J. Dean Technical School earning her Licensed Practical Nurse credentials in 2000.  She worked for Dr. Mark Singer as his office manager /LPN from 1993 until his retirement in 2011. Over the span of her career she was employed by various health care agencies the last being Commonwealth Care Alliance.

She leaves her loving husband of 35 years Irwin J Brakey of Easthampton, a daughter Michelle C Kong and her husband Sineth of South Carolina; a son Joseph R Brakey and his fiancé Danielle DeGray of Northampton; a daughter Elizabeth Brakey of West Chesterfield.  She will be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren Carter and Julian Kong and Sophia Caissie who was grandma’s special baking assistant.  She is survived by her sister Leslie A Yuscavage of Easthampton and her partner Donna Burridge-Vohar.  Dianne enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mitchell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  There will be a private celebration of her life in the Spring.
