David Slattery

David J. Slattery, 57, of Easthampton, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center.
Born August 14, 1963 in Northampton, Ma., he was the son of Donald Slattery and Shirley (Raymond) Malouin . David graduated from Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School in 1981. He worked at Allstate Insurance as an auto appraiser. David enjoyed being outdoors, especially working at his friend Adam’s farm. When he was not on the farm, he could be found fishing or hunting.  He spent many years referring hockey.  He loved watching sports especially his favorite team, the New England Patriots.
David’s daughter Sydney was his world. He coached her in T-ball, softball & soccer and never missed a game. His enthusiasm watching his daughter play sports could be heard all over the playing fields.
David is survived by his daughter Sydney Slattery of Easthampton, his mother Shirley (Raymond) Malouin, sister Cheryl Slattery, brother Gary Slattery and his wife Denise, A niece and two nephews. Due to the present Covid condition the family will have a celebration of life at a later time. A private memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church.
