David J. Langevin, 67, of Easthampton, died Sunday October 4, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born April 12, 1948 in Ludlow the son of Mary Langevin. He attended Indian Orchard Public Schools and graduated from Commerce High School in Springfield.
He married the former Joan Hauff in 1968 who survives and making their home in Easthampton since 1970. He was employed by the town of Easthampton as a truck driver and sewer craftsman retiring in 1994.He was a member of the Teamsters Union. David enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and was a movie lover but most of all he enjoyed his family and grandchildren.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons David Langevin and wife Doreen of Easthampton, Brian Langevin and wife Danielle of South Hadley and one daughter Sharon Stelzer and husband Timothy of Longmeadow, seven grandchildren Shelby and Alyssa Langevin, Austin, Brooke and Bradley Langevin and Elizabeth and Grace Stelzer.
Friends may call at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton on Wednesday October 7, from 4pm to 8pm.
A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Dalton Lavalle Post on Pleasant Street, Easthampton on Thursday October 8, at 2pm.
