David passed on July 28th at home suddenly after an ATV accident while riding on his property. This was one of the things he loved doing. He had just turned 65.
He graduated from Hampshire Regional High in 1977.
In his younger years he did enduro racing with the friends he grew up with in Southampton.
David was a drummer most of his life with the band Close Call and also The Endless Knights. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He liked the Red Sox and the Patriots (as long as they were winning) then he switched to the Bills. He liked his beer and cigars.
He worked at National Nonwovens (The Felt) in Easthampton. He was also a member of The Four Seasons Club in Chesterfield.
David is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Jennifer, granddaughter Sammi (Zeke) and grandson Charlie, sisters Carleen (Tom) and Joanne, niece Heather (Jonnie) and nephew Aaron. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
David is predeceased by his father Sherley, mother Bobbi, brother Steven, nephew Shawn and brother-in-law Charlie as well as some of his hunting buddies. He will be missed by many.
There will be no calling hours, but we will have a celebration of his life in early October, David’s favorite time of the year.
A special thanks goes out to the Hilltown Response Team, local police, state police and Environmental Police. Everyone was considerate and respectful to David and myself. Thank you for your valiant efforts.
