Constance (Lehr) Poulin age 89 died peacefully at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Easthampton, MA on November 16, 1934 the daughter of Clarence and Florence (Stretton) Lehr. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Rene Poulin who died in 2014.
Connie attended public schools in Easthampton. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Easthampton. She was an active member serving as Sunday School teacher and superintendent, as well as in the choir, Ladies Aid and many different committees. She worked for many years at the Holyoke Advertising Corp of America. She later retired early from Dinn Bros Trophies to raise her grandson, David, to whom she is also known to his many friends as Grandma Connie.
She is survived by her children, Elaine (Donald) Light , David (Sandra) Poulin, Laurie (Buddy) Raymond all of Easthampton, and Thomas (Jennifer) Poulin of West Springfield.
She is also survived by her sister Barbara (Lehr) and her husband Patrick Egan. She leaves 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Phyllis Paquette and Shirley Hayes.
Visiting hours for Connie will be held at Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park St, Easthampton on Thursday, January 11th from 4-6 pm with service to immediately follow. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
