Claire Alice Tatro, age 91, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2022. She was a woman of magical proportions, who held family above all else. A graduate of West Springfield High School, Claire went on to achieve an
Associates Degree in Science and Respiratory Therapy at Springfield
Technical Community College.
Soon after she combined those teachings with her knowledge as a healer and became a certified Hypnotherapist. Claire pioneered her way to become the first woman to recieve the Ormond McGill Award within the National Guild of Hypnotists. She started her own practice, New England Ethical Hypnosis, where she helped hundreds of patients quit smoking, deal with substance abuse, anxiety and emotional healing.
Claire lectured to students, colleagues and family about the
connection between the mind and body. Her famed saying being, "What the mind causes, the mind can cure." She was nothing short of the embodiment of that phrase, as her strong mind persisted her to live a life full of love amongst no shortage of obstacles.
Claire was a devoted member of Foster Memorial Church, where she served in many roles and was a friend to all. She put her faith and knowledge into action by facilitating healing sessions, and gifts of personalized cds of meditation and healing for anyone who was experiencing illness.
A memorial service will be held, on a pending date at Foster Memorial Church.
