Beatrice “Bea” (Carrier) Frennier, age 98, passed away peacefully on September 9th, after a short period of declining health, at Baystate Hospital in Springfield. Born February 6, 1927 in Northampton, MA to the late Ernest and Frances (Mumblow) Carrier. Bea was educated in Easthampton schools and was a longtime communicant of the Notre Dame Church.
Bea married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Frennier on July 5, 1947. They settled in their home in Easthampton with their two children Jimmy and Cheryl. Bea and Dick enjoyed over 40 years at their camp in New Hampshire making memories with family and friends. Bea was a homemaker and cared for many children of her family and friends and she especially enjoyed family gatherings in her home for holidays and special occasions. Bea loved animals of all kinds and always had a pet in her home. Bea’s love of poetry enticed her to write many poems about her beloved family, pets and friends.
Bea leaves her grandchildren Jon (Sara) Levin, Brian DeGregorio-Frennier and Erin (Matt) Degnan. She leaves her cherished great-grandchildren Jonathan (Madison) Levin, Hanna Vescovi, Tanner Levin and Brielle Degnan. She leaves a daughter-in-law, Pam DeGregorio. She also leaves her siblings Jeanette Morin and Norman (Dawn) Carrier and nieces Linda Anderson, Denise Morin and Amy Morin, nephew Dennis Morin, her nephew and godson Kerry Fisher, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Bea was predeceased by her husband Richard and her children James “Jim” Frennier and Cheryl (Frennier) Levin, Grandson Michael Frennier, brothers Ernest “Sunny”, Robert “Bob” and Henry “Hank” Carrier and a sister Diane LeBeau, sisters-in-law Joan, Pat and Linda Carrier and brothers-in-law Dennis LeBeau, Leonard “Lefty” Morin, Donald Frennier and Robert Frennier.
A private graveside service will take place at Brookside Cemetery in Easthampton, MA. Per Bea’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses and staff at Baystate Hospital who cared for Bea.
