Barbara (Dunham) Harris

Barbara Jo (Dunham) Harris of Southampton passed away on May 23, 2021 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She was born on May 28, 1942 in Albany, NY, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dunham. Barbara attended local schools and graduated from Russell Sage College, Class of 1965. Barbara married the late Thomas Harris in June of 1963 and they have lived in Southampton since 1972. Barbara worked as a school gym teacher for many years and then later as surgical booker for Dr. James Rosenthal and Dr. Paul Mintzer.

Barbara enjoyed gardening, trips to the beach, traveling and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She loved seafood and ice cream.  Barbara was best known as “Gram”  and she will be missed tremendously.

Barbara is survived by one son Robert, three grandchildren Kristie, Samantha and Leighanne, and three great grandchildren Summer, Ethan and Ella.

Calling hours will be Wednesday June 2, 2021 at the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton from 5  to 7pm.

Memorial contribution may be made to Leighanne Harris to go toward funeral  costs and Medical bills and various expenses.
