Alfred P Leroux Obituary

Alfred P Leroux, age 91, passed away on August 6, 2025 at Charter Senior Living of Danvers, MA. He was born April 18, 1934 in Ludlow, MA to Viola Leroux.

Alfred graduated from West Springfield High School, Class of 1951.

He volunteered for U.S. Army Service as a Medic during the Korean Conflict on May 3, 1951.  He was honorably discharged on April 14, 1954.

His medical experience in the Army led him to be hired at Northampton VA Medical Center in Leeds, MA specializing in Neuropsychiatric Nursing until his retirement on April 18, 1989.

Alfred competed in sprint car racing at River Side Park (6 Flags), Agawam, MA, long distance lake swimming, yard work while smoking cigars, watching roller derby and later in life, running up large pay per view balances on his son’s account watching women’s wrestling.     

Alfred was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Janice Porter of Worthington, MA, daughter (2nd twin) Karen Ann Leroux of Florence, MA, and second wife Gail Greene Leroux of Northampton, MA.

He is survived by children Steven Leroux (1st twin) and his wife Michelle Au Yeung of Rowley, MA, Andrea Leroux of Ipswich, MA and his grandson Maxwell Smith of North Beverly, MA.

Visiting hours for Alfred, followed by a Memorial Service, will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm on August 19, 2025 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton, MA 01027. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
