Aaron Patrick Obituary

Aaron O. Patrick Jr.

November 24, 1962 – June 18, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Aaron O. Patrick Jr., who left us on June 18, 2025, at the age of 62.

Aaron was a man of profound depth—a brilliant mind and a generous heart shaped by a complex journey. Born on November 24, 1962, in Bloomington, IL, he carried within him both quiet strength and a deep tenderness that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He gave selflessly, especially to those facing life’s toughest battles, always offering what he could from a place of genuine empathy.

He is survived by his only child, Samantha Hathaway, and her husband, Austin Hathaway, of Westhampton, MA; his cousin—but more like a brother—Tony Patrick, and his wife, Donna Patrick, of Murray, KY; and many loving friends who he considered family that stood by him and supported him through the years.

Aaron is preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Patrick; his parents, Aaron O. Sr. and Michele Patrick; and his grandparents, Orville and Ellen Patrick.

A celebration of life to honor Aaron’s memory will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aaron’s honor to The Herren Project (herrenproject.org), an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by alcohol and opioid addiction. This cause reflects both the struggles Aaron faced and the deep compassion he had for helping others on their journey to healing.
