Arlene E. White 68 of Southampton died Saturday July 13, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada Feb. 16, 1945 the daughter of the late Robert and Irene Jenkinson MacGregor. She attended schools in Scarborough. Arlene came to this country in 1977 and has made Southampton her home since 1981. She worked with her husband for many years in their family business and was a long time volunteer member of the Southampton Mother's Club. She was a kind and generous person who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed crafting and creating beautiful gardens.

Arlene is survived by her husband Ronald White, daughter Jennifer Martin of Enfield, CT, three sons Robert Martin and wife Karen of Easthampton, David White and wife Susan of Florence, Tim White and wife Kelly of Southampton, and one brother Gary MacGregor and wife Ruth and their two children of Canada and three beloved grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated staff at Baystate Medical Center.

Visiting hours will be Thursday July 18, from 5-8pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton. Burial will be private in Center Cemetery, Southampton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene’s memory may be given to D’Amour Cancer Center, 3350 Main Street, #3 , Springfield, MA.01199.
