Mary Lee Morse, 81, of Westhampton passed away Thursday August 3rd surrounded by her loving family. Born in Northampton on March 27, 1936, to Warner N. and Marjorie (Plumb) King, she attended Northampton schools and graduated from Northampton High School, Class of 1953.  She graduated from Smith College in 1957 where she majored in Math and subsequently worked as an assistant engineer for AT&T for a short time, and later for Mass Mutual Life Insurance Co.

Mary Lee married David W. Morse in 1958 and they purchased the Outlook Farm in Westhampton in 1962, which they owned and operated for 34 years, including the Outlook Farm Bed & Breakfast for 15 years, and she continued to help for another 10 years, making her famous pies and baked beans.  She was active in many organizations including Westhampton Congregational Church, Red Hat Society, Hugga Bears, and Hospice & VNA of Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Mary Lee was an avid sports fan playing basketball in high school and college, and was a lifelong Red Sox fan; she was always involved in her children’s sports including starting the Westhampton girls softball team and she also umpired Little League.  She dabbled in poetry and published an autobiography of her memoirs in 2016.  She loved to tell her stories about fun on the farm, which included making over 50,000 pies, raising pigs, and running a farm store, while raising 3 kids. She enjoyed music, singing, travel, and trips to Foxwoods.  But most all she loved her family and many, many close friends.

She was the widow of David Wesley Morse who died in 2009.

Mary Lee is survived by two sons Bradford K. Morse and wife Erin of Westhampton, Jeffrey D. Morse of Northampton, one daughter Sherrill L. Bowler and husband John of Westhampton, grand daughter Lauren E. Sebastian and husband Shane of Boston, two great grandchildren Penelope E. and Wesley Duke Sebastian of Boston, one sister Karen M. Dear Brad, Jeff and family,
We were very saddened to hear of the passing of your mother, Mary Lee. Karen's mother, Betty, knew her from working with her and enjoyed seeing her at Linda Manor. Betty spoke very fondly of your mother.
We know that she will be greatly missed.

May God be near you all during this time.
